Non-surgical Spinal Decompression in Naples, FL
Dr. Tanya Horsten, Naples Chiropractic Physician, was born and raised in New York’s scenic and historic Hudson River Valley near West Point. She is a third-generation doctor; her father is a Dentist and her grandfather was a Surgeon. She knew from a young age that she wanted to become a doctor. While on a family ski trip to the two-time Olympic Village of Lake Placid, NY she sustained an injury to her back and sought the care of a chiropractor– This injury helped shape her career path.
“It is my job to educate my patients in the best way to care for their spine, to help them to maintain a healthy weight, stay mobile and active and reduce daily stresses on their spine and body.”
Dr. Horsten received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Marist College in NY with a concentration in Sports Health Science. She was a 4 year intern on the Sports Medicine staff under the guidance of Team Orthopedists from NYC’s esteemed Hospital for Special Surgery. She was named Head Student Athletic Trainer. Her internship provided her tremendous knowledge in the first aid, care, prevention and management of various sports injuries. She utilizes this knowledge daily in her practice.
Dr. Horsten received her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. She trained in Atlanta from 1994-1998; in 1996 Atlanta hosted the summer Olympic Games.
She is married to Karl Horsten, MD (Anesthesiology), and is privileged to attend many medical symposiums both inside and outside her field to stay on top of the latest health care advances.
Dr. Horsten is Vice President of the Collier County Chiropractic Society, a member of the ACA (American Chiropractic Association), the FCA (Florida Chiropractic Association) and the Naples Chamber of Commerce.
